Programming Note
Just a reminder that the season premiere of Battlestar Galactica is this Friday, April 4. It's about time! I'm looking forward to this final season and seeing how the Earth story arc plays out. This week the SciFi channel will be airing every episode of BSG - it will be a week-long marathon. Hmm...I love BSG but even that's too much of good thing all at once.

John 13
12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. "Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them. 13 "You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

From today's scripture email:
55 Exaudi, Deus
22
His speech is softer than butter, *
but war is in his heart.
23
His words are smoother than oil, *
but they are drawn swords.
24
Cast your burden upon the LORD,and he will sustain you; *
he will never let the righteous stumble.

no lenten discipline here
Well, let's see...I didn't give up Diet Coke and I didn't go to church during Lent. This whole Lenten season I've been looking at my faith and what it means to me right now. I have no answer, only more questions. I subscribed to a daily scripture email which provides both Old and New Testament passages. Most days I read them and it's been a mixed reaction. Some days I feel inspired, other days I want to hit the delete button on the email. I feel like I'm approaching the bible again from a whole new perspective. Perhaps a more discerning eye? But maybe that's all part of it. Wish I had some answers here but not today. But then, are we ever supposed to truly know? Yes. No. Maybe? And that is where I am with my faith.
