Sanctuary v. Torchwood

When my anti-scifi anything boyfriend makes a throw-away comment that Sanctuary seems a lot like "that other show you watch with the guy who can't die" then there's something there to look into. I always arrive last to a TV show. For someone who loves TV, I don't jump on the latest show right away. I tend to like watching it all at once, over a weekend like its one long movie. That's how I watched Torchwood.
